- The U. S. Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring Concrete Sinkers to be fabricated and delivered to nineteen (19) U.S. Coast Guard River Buoy Tenders located throughout the Upper Missippi area. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material, transportation and equipment necessary to fabricate and deliver 1,000, 1,500 and 2000 lbs Type II concrete sinkers to various U. S. Coast Guard River Buoy tenders located in the Upper Missippi area including ST. Louis, MO, Omaha, NE, Peoria, IL, Keokuk, IA, Dubuque, IA, Natchez, MS, Pine Bluff, AR, Memphis, TN, Vicksburg, MS, Sallisaw, OK, Greenville, MS Demoplis, AL, Colfax, LA, Eufaula, AL, Buchanan, TN, Owensboro, KY, Sewickley, PA, Chattanooga, TN and Hickman KY. The contractor shall be available to deliver the concrete sinkers between the hours of 8:00 am and 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. No deliveries are to be made on Saturdays, Sundays or legal Federal Holidays. Multiple deliveries are acceptable. The base contract period of performance will begin on 1 October 2008 to 30 September 2009, with four, one-year option periods. This requirement will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. The applicable NAICS code is 327331(Concrete Block and Brick Manufacturing Contractors), with a size standard of 500 employees. This solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 - Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm-Fixed Unit Price with Economic Price Adjustment contract will be awarded. Interested parties must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.232-33. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at www.ccr2000.com or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Any correspondence concerning this requirement shall reference Request For Quote (RFQ) Number HSCG84-08-Q-AA8262. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be available electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 29 July 2008 with a closing date for receipts of quotes by 12 August 2008, 4:00 pm Eastern. No paper copies of the solicitation and or amendments will be distributed. All vendors will be responsible for obtaining the solicitation and any subsequent amendments from that site.
