Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. HSCG27-08-Q-3P5474 is issued as a {Request for Quotation (RFQ)}. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-14. The applicable NAICS number is 423720 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. This will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price award. This is a small business set aside procurement. Offers are due at: USCG ISC Portsmouth, VA, by the Close of Business on 8/11/08. The FOB Destination delivery is to: Portsmouth, VA, on or before: 9/11/08. The USCG ISC Portsmouth has a requirement to purchase the following: GENERAL: The contractor shall provide (42) forty two flat plate 4’ X 10’ Solar Panels with standard mounting brackets that meets or exceeds the following specs based on a AET model AE-40 Solar panel (or equivalent): Glazing: 1 sheet of solite glass, 1/8” or 5/32” thick with 0.01% iron oxide content. Transmittance: 91.0% Glazing Gasket: EPDM Channel with molded corners. Insulation: 1-Ľ” Foil-faced poly-isocyanurate board insulation. (R-10). ľ” Foil-faced poly-isocyanurate board in side walls and under headers. (R-6). Frame Wall and Batten: 6063 T6 Aluminum extrusion. (1/8” wall) Electrostatic paint finish. Electrostatic paint integral mounting system. Backsheet: 0.019 stucco embossed aluminum sheet MB-40 bronze, pop-riveted to frame wall. Fasteners: Aluminum and 18-8 stainless steel, black oxide coated for aesthetics Absorber Plate: All copper fin and tube construction. High frequency forge welded for permanent bond between tube and sheet. No soldered or crimped joints to fair from expansion and contraction. 30 year warranty on fin-to-tube joint. Absorber Coating: Crystal Clear Absorptivity: ~ 0.97 Emissivity: ~ 0.07 Design Life: 30 Years Individually Leak Tested At: 125 PSI Flow Rate: 0.5 to 1.8 GPM recommended All technical questions can be directed to: Keith Beko (757)483.8638 Company’s quotes should include: (1) The solicitation number; (2) The time specified in the solicitation for receipt of offers; (3) The name, address, and telephone number of the offeror; (4) A technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. Offers that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration; (12) Company Tax Information Number and DUNS Number.
