- Description
- The 911th Airlift Wing, Coraopolis, PA., 15108 intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide for all labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary to Repair 4160V Primary Electrical Service, Project JLSS 01-0009. Work includes, but not limit to, demolition of the northeast section of overhead utility distribution system includes poles, cross arms and accessories, primary/secondary conductors, transformers and brackets, switches and fuse cut-outs. Saw cut asphalt, concrete; excavate and install concrete encased four inch duct bank. Install new U/G primary service using 15 KV cable. Install five (5) pad mounted transformers to feed power to Buildings 108, 127, 120, and roadway lights. Install five (5) pad mount loop-through switches to sectionalize the circuit main. Transformers and air interrupter switches to be mounted on reinforced concrete pads. Install new secondary conductors from transformers to building main disconnects. Install five (5) aluminum street light poles with high pressure sodium lamps to replace existing street lighting mounted on the wood poles which are being removed. Restore all concrete/asphalt areas and reseed all affected ground areas. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the contract documents. The estimated cost ranges between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The NAICS code is 237130. The applicable size standard is $31 million. Invitation for Bid solicitation package will be available o/a 8 Aug 08. Tentative bid opening date is 8 Sep 08. Performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. This action is being procured on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Small business Competitiveness Demonstration Program (Ref: FAR 19(c)(2). All responsible sources may submit a bid. Funds are currently not available for this project; any award is contingent upon receipt of funds. Note: Bids must be valid through 15 Dec 08. No response to this notice is necessary. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any bid/proposal preparation costs.
