- Description
- The National Audio Visual Conservation Center (NAVCC) of the Library of Congress has a requirement to preserve and provide access to audio recordings that were made utilizing now obslete audio wire formats, such as Webster, Armour, Pierce, GE, and Minifon. The request is for a contractor to design, fabricate, construct and deliver two new Audio Wire Transport Machine, each with a modern signal transducer pickup device for extracting all pertinent and remaining signals information (audio content) from solid stainless wire media for preservation and access in the Library of Congress digital storage archive. The period of performance shall be twelve months from date of award. All interested offerors should submit proposals to jwalker@loc.gov by 8/18/2008.
