- Description
- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR BDOT ANDDDOT SENSORS. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This noticeserves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will notbe issued. The purpose of this amendment is to add a maximum acceptable delivery time of 60 daysafter receipt of order, respond to a question from a vendor, and notify offerors that theRFQS system will not be utilized for this requirement (All quotes shall be sent viae-mail to rob.wolfinger@nasa.gov by 3pm local time on August 12, 2008).Question/Answer:Q.1. "The B-Dot and D-Dot free field sensors specify a 100 microsecond passiveintegrator to be supplied. Passive integrators accept a 50 ohm compatible input andrequire connection to a high impedance (greater than 1 Mohm) connection at the output. Normally, this integrator is attached directly to the input of an oscilloscope which canprovide a 1 Mohm termination. This means that the output of the Balun (which isconnected directly to the Sensor) will be connected to the input of the passiveintegrator using a coaxial cable. Is this the configuration desired? Also, for theD-Dot Ground Plane sensor, please specify Axial or Radial version."A.1. The B-dot sensors are the ones that require a Balun and a passive integrator. Thesensor is connected to the balun, the balun is connected to the integrator (using acoax), and the output of the integrator goes into a high impedance scope. We want the axial version of the D-dot ground plane sensor. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended.Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASAAcquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on July 29, 2008.
