- NSN 3020-00-861-1478, Part Number 8767202; The item to procure is a Gear Rack for use on the M109 Howitzer. THIS RACK REQUIRES CLOSE TOLERANCES. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. The Rack is machined from.37-.46C AISI Alloy (43XX ONLY) Steel. Overall Length is 14.69 in x 1.860 O.D., (2-PL) stub tooth involute, 20 degree pressure angle, pitch.5236. First article testing is required. Phosphate Coating in accordance with MIL-DTL-16232 is required. Requirement is for 45 each Gear Racks. The solicitation will include two-100 percent option provisions. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 21 Aug 08. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list.
