Description
This is a sources-sought notice We are seeking sources to provide A.T.C.T. Window Shades of PV-128 Program quality for our Air Traffic Control Tower. There are 24 windows: 12 with the approximate size of: 97" tip-to-tip and 106" finished material height; and 12 that are approximately 94" tip-to-tip and 70" finished material height. All equipment and installation must be at least equal to all PV-128 specifications as well as those below. Below is a shorten description of services to be accomplished under this sources-sought proposal. 1.0 SCOPE 1.1 The contractor shall be responsible for providing all supervision, labor, transportation, tools, materials, equipment, and incidental other items necessary to design, purchase, deliver, and install the transparent window shades for the Air traffic control Tower at Beale AFB, CA 95903. 3.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES 3.1 The contractor shall design, purchase, deliver, and install the new shades for the Control Tower located at 7550 Arnold Ave Building 11103. All delivery and installation shall be in strict compliance with the manufacturer's specifications and procedures. 3.2 The window shades must include the following specifications: 3.2.1 Must meet FAA specification E2470,F72, ER226-0001a and DACA09-B-0014 3.2.2 Must meet mandatory operational safety equipment TB-95-1 3.2.3 Must meet FAA order 6480.18 3.2.4 Contractor will measure each window prior to start of job. If the contractor has measurements from a previous job, measuring again is not required 3.2.5 Shades must custom fit to exact replacement specifications 3.2.6 Shades must be guaranteed for a correct fit 3.2.7 The shades provided will have to reject over 60% of the total solar energy transmitted from 360 to 2100 nanometers when measured by AIMCAL standard methods. 3.2.8 Shades shall be replaced within 24 hours when it is necessary for replacement (disaster or normal wear and tear reasons). 3.3 The contractor shall remove current shades and dispose of current shades and hardware. Contractor will also dispose of packaging material. All packaging materials and debris shall be disposed of off base at the contractor's expense. 3.4. Warranty: The contractor shall provide a warranty consistent with commercial industry standards against defects in materials, workmanship, and ensure a reliability of the shades for a minimum of 3 years. A copy of the warranty shall be submitted prior to final inspection. 3.5 Final Inspection: Formal acceptance shall be granted after successful completion of the final inspection.
