- DESC: NSN 1005-01-547-6523, Part Number 13016070. The item to procure is a New Backplate Assembly for the M2 Machine Gun. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The intended source is General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, 128 Lakeside Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401. The new backplate contains drawings which are proprietary to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, and to which the Government has no rights to procure in a competitive environment.
