- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate the following Questions and Answers. Q1: What is the schedule for completion or delivery milestones for this project? A1: See RFQ. Q2: What is the schedule for award and furnishing artwork for this project? A1: See RFQ. Q3: Is there a PDF of the art files (either draft or final) that can be viewed so as to determine ink coverage, in-line color issues, binding issues, etc? A3: See attachment #1, draft version of the catalog. Q4: The perforation on the last text page runs vertical? A4: Yes the perforation on the last text page runs vertical. Q5: How far from the spine is the perforation? A5: The perforation is at least ¼-inch from the spine and can be moved out to accommodate. Q6: You specify “double thick” cartons for shipping. Are the 275# test cartons we use for all Government projects acceptable? Or do we need to furnish double wall cartons of a higher edge crush strength? If so, can you specify the edge crush test so we can include the proper cartons in our bid? A6: Multiple shipping is done with the cartons therefore we do not have the specific edge crush test information. It is imperative that the higher edge crush strength is utilized to ensure that the cartons do not get mangled or damaged during the multiple shipment cycles. Q7: This seems to be more of a proposal than a bid. Should I create an offer in two volumes as I would normally in a peer review proposal? In this case, pricing would come in one email and the technical proposal would come in another? With the latter email being reviewed for acceptability before the pricing email is even opened? A7: Please provide a quote as instructed in the RFQ. Q8: When will we be notified if there are any clarifications or deficiencies in the proposal/offer? A8: As stated in RFQ, FAR clause 52.212-1 Instruction to Offerors – Commercial Items. Q9: When do you need pricing back? A9: See RFQ. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged.
