- Description
- This amendment provides responses to questions from industry and extends the solicitation closing date: Q: What is the projected site density for this survey area? A:It is estimated to be 1 site per 75 to 100 acres. However, sites are not evenly distributed. In general, the primary types of sites are historic features near water sources and along historic roads and trails; and lithic scatters in open meadows. Most of the project area has dense spruce-fir and mixed conifer forest that makes ground visibility poor. Q: What were the results of the previously conducted 3,000 acre survey in the Roost Burn Area? A: See above response. The previous survey was not all done in one project, but piecemeal over a number of fires and other projects. Consequently, we don't have a single report that summarized the results. Q: Is there a page limit for this RFQ? A: We did not establish a page limit for this RFQ. Q: Do Davis Bacon Wage Rates apply for this survey and if so what are they? A: No. Davis Bacon Wage Rates do not apply to this federally-funded project. Service Contract Act (SCA) wages apply to this procurement: (SCA 2005-2023 Rev 9 dated May 29, 2008, Coconino County, Arizona), as set forth in the solicitation. Q: Is it possible to set up a project camp area and bring in port-o-johns and/or are campgrounds with facilities available? A: Yes, the contractor could request a group site in the North Rim campground or in the USFS campground (DeMotte Park) just outside the park (subject to availability). It might also be possible for them to camp at the administrative camping area on Lindbergh Hill. This area is along the Entrance Road and is used for Fire Camps and previous contractors have stayed there. The site would not be available in the event that a Fire Camp was using it and the NPS is not able to predict this. The contractor would need to provide port-o-potties, pack out trash, etc as there are no facilities at this location. Q: Is there a funding cap not to exceed on this project that we should be aware of. A: No. We do not disclose the project magnitude for this work. As a result of this amendment, the solicitation closing date changes to September 2, 2008 at 3 PM (M.S.T.) All other terms remain unchanged. Email all quote documents no later than solicitation closing date and time to elizabeth_baierl@nps.gov. Ensure you include a total price for the entire project (CLIN 0001); adequate technical information (references, resumes, narratives, supporting documentation, licenses, etc.) in order for the technical evaluators to ascertain the level of past performance and experience as set forth in the EVALUATION CRITERIA in the solicitation. Offerors are reminded to include DUNS number and T.I.N. to verify registration in CCR database and small business size status and to acknowledge this amendment and amendment 0001.END OF AMENDMENT 0002
