Description
The Federal Aviation Administration, Headquarters, Washington, DC, intends to award a brand-name mandatory purchase order for a quantity of 681 Motorola PPT8800 Scanners, Model Number: PPT8800-R3BZ0000R, in support of the FAA's Automated Information Tracking System (AITS) Handheld Scanner Replacement Program. The type procurement contemplated is a 100 percent Small Business Set-Aside and the desired delivery is FOB: Destination, anywhere in the Continental United States. The procurement method contemplated is a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) purchase utilizing competitive acquisition simplified purchasing procedures in accordance with AMS 3.2.2.5 and AMS Procurement Guidance T3.2.2.5. Additional general requirements and a detail display of the specifications can be found under Attachment 1, to this announcement. The selection of an award under this requirement will be made utilizing lowest price - technically acceptable evaluation procedures. Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors. Under this evaluation procedure, non-cost evaluation factors are all of equal importance. Thus, the failure of a proposal to meet any one of the factors will preclude award to the offeror submitting the proposal. The competition under this requirement is limited to Small Business Concerns. The NAICS Code under this acquisition has been established at 443120, with a Small Business Size Standards in dollars of $8 million. Firms shall complete and submit the attached Business Declaration form with their quote. Purpose of Announcement: This market survey solicits interested sources under this requirement. The FAA reserve to rights to select an appropriate award type based on a best value determination - GSA pricing. GSA quotes will need to be accompanied by a copy of the applicable GSA Schedule, to include price list.) Note: In order to receive an award from the FAA, regardless of dollar value, vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA).
