- Description
- This acquisition is for a Firm Fixed-Price contract to provide Public Web Management System for Defense Media Activity (DMA). The contractor shall provide operational support to the Defense Media Activity (DMA) Public Web program. This program currently supports over 300 Air Force, OSD, Navy and Marines Web sites with expected growth to over 1000 sites. The contractor shall provide support to the development and integration of internet communication mediums to enhance the distribution of information through various media outlets. The goal is to “transform communications to meet the demands of the Department of Defense in a new media age” by increasing the accuracy, timeliness and reach of information being disseminated by DMA. Changing technology and the accessibility of the Internet dictates the need to stay ahead of communication advances to better support the mission of delivering DoD news and information worldwide. Contractor support is required to develop, configure, integrate, install and manage new media communication applications/products and the distribution technology required to operate and disseminate timely information worldwide. This support exists in the Public Web division of DMA. The applicable NAICS is 541519 with a size standard of $21,000,000. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price contract with a basic year period of 12 months, with a four 1-year option periods. The solicitation and all attachments will be electronically issued and may be accessed for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (EPS) site at www.eps.gov. Once the solicitation is posted, it is the responsibility of all interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments that may occur during the solicitation process. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 15 Oct 2008 with a closing date on or about 15 Nov 2008. The Government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation package nor planholder list. Fax, telephone, written or email requests for the solicitation package and planholder will not be honored. All questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing 10 calendar days prior to the RFP closing date. Questions received less than 10 calendar days prior to the closing date of the RFP may not receive a response. NOTE: The solicitation issuance date is an estimate, not an actual, and the actual can be before or after the stated date. The response date cited above does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The Government reserves the right to cancel this procurement/solicitation either before or after the RFP closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. All prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for contract award.
