Description
The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for the delivery, installation, maintenance and removal of approximately 14,000 linear feet or 2.6 miles of temporary barricade systems of various heights for a period for approximately one day in mid-January of 2009 in Washington, DC. This site visit will encompass barricade systems needs for bike racks, jersey barriers, vehicle barriers, perimeter fencing, snow fencing, etc. Construction strength and configuration shall be at such a level as to prevent the barricade from being taken apart, set on fire and there shall be no sharp edges or points, so they are safe for the public. Interested parties must participate in a mandatory site visit to be held in Washington, DC on Thursday, October 30, 2008. To participate, eligible firms must be registered as a small business in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) within the NAICS code above. Firms interested in attending the site visit must (1) submit proof of CCR Registration, i.e. provide Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and (2) complete a non-disclosure agreement (Agreement) for individual(s) to attend the site visit. Eligible firms shall forward (1) their DUNS and (2) the completed Agreement to the Procurement Division (PRO), Attn: Mishelle Miller via e-mail Mishelle.Miller@usss.dhs.gov or fax 202-406-6801 no later than October 23 2008 at 11:00am (EDT). Please call (202) 406-6790 to confirm receipt by PRO if no response is received within two hours of email transmittal. Upon receipt of both items, PRO will forward information pertaining to the site visit (location, time, etc.) to the eligible firm(s).
