Description

This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWC Div. Newport, RI has an existing contract, N6660408M1478 with D.G. Obrien/Teledyne for 49 ea. P/N 2983.2.012 Header Assemblies identified in Electric Boat Specification 2983. NUWC intends to modify the existing contract to add an additional 49 ea. NUWC is the repair depot for Missile Tube Penetrators, in which these items are an integral part, and an unexpected increase in repair items have been received. As the current contract is already in production, delivery of the additional quantity would be expedited by avoiding several weeks of production set-up. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
