- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, (NAVAIR WD) China Lake, CA intends to procure an Advanced Systems Integration Center (ASIC) that will create new functionality and network outreach, encompassing Network Centric Warfare and operations, fleet exercise collaboration and support of other country and organization exercises and objectives, support testing and training at the Department of Defense (DoD) joint level (Air Force, Navy, Army, Joint). The Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) currently in use provides limited integration and test capability for strike operations systems support. Using the existing Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL), the ASIC will be created to operate as a node in the global FORCENET architecture and will connect to other military, university, and government laboratories via the Global Information Grid (GIG) network. This procurement will be conducted in two phases. Phase 1 shall consist of the documenting the operational SIL, moving the SIL to the ASIC facility, and delivering a Development and Implementation (D&I) Plan that includes the research, design and development of ! an ASIC that incorporates state of the art capabilities and integration of FORCENET elements. During Phase 2 the contractor shall execute the D&I Plan to build, integrate and test the ASIC. Access to classified data up to and including Top Secret may be required in the performance of this contract. Performance will be at China Lake, CA 93555-6108. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541712; the Small Business size standard is $6.5M. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 10 November 2008 and will be available at the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at https://www.fbo.gov. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Proposals will be due at least 45 days after the RFP is issued. Award is anticipated approximately Feb 2009.
