Description
The U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Contracting Center intends to issue modification P00004 to Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract W91CRB-08-D-0003 on or about 10 November 2008 for Mold Coated Echo Radio Frequency identification (RFID) PN DC026727 and Engineering Services in support of the U.S Army Program Executive Office Soldier (PEO Soldier)-PM Soldier Air Warrior (PM AW). The modification will be issued on a sole source basis in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 (Only One Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements). P00004 will result in the purchase of 80,000 units of RFID assemblies and an additional $1,200,000.00 in Engineering Services. The ordering period will increase from 12 months to 48 months with four 12-month option years. The contract type will be mixed with Firm Fixed Price delivery orders for the RFID assemblies and Firm Fixed Price, Cost or Time & Material for delivery orders for Engineering support. The ordering minimum will be 2,000 units and the maximum will be 80,000 units.
