Description
THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. The purpose of this amendment is to announce an Industry Day in accordance with FAR 15.201, to provide a status update on the EP-X program, brief Industry on the program path forward, and highlight areas of interest. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD will host the Industry Day for the EP-X program on Thursday, November 20, at the J.T. Daugherty Center, California Maryland. The Industry Day will be held in the morning, with the afternoon reserved for one-on-one meetings with potential prime contractors. The EP-X Industry Day is open to all interested parties, including potential prime and subcontractors. A question and answer period will be held at the conclusion of the Industry Day briefings. All questions will be written on forms to be provided at the end of the briefings. After a short break the Government will attempt to answer questions at the Industry Day in an open forum. Questions and answers, including those not able to be answered during the open forum, may be posted at a future date. Please be advised that the Government intends to publish all names, phone numbers, and email addresses of industry attendees. The one-on-one meetings are reserved for potential prime contractors only. The one-on-one meetings will be scheduled in one hour appointments on a “first-come first-serve basis” and must be requested per instructions provided in this announcement. The purpose of the one-on-one meetings is to allow potential prime contractors a forum in which to provide comments and questions specifically on the proposed program path forward. Conference check-in will begin at 0730 and end at 0830. The Industry Day will begin promptly at 0830 and conclude at approximately 1100. The Industry Day and one-on-one meetings will be held at an unclassified level. Attire is business casual. Attendance at the Industry Day and one-on-one meetings is limited to five individuals per corporate entity. For corporate entities having multiple distinct divisions, the corporate entity may send a maximum of five individuals. To pre-register for the EP-X Industry Day and/or to schedule a one-on-one meeting, email Chris Rawlings at Christopher.rawlings@navy.mil. The subject line of your email response should read: EP-X Industry Day. Responses must include the attendee’s full name, company, address, phone number and email address. Registration by telephone will not be accepted. A confirmation email will be sent. The deadline for submitting completed registration requests is 14 November 2008.
