- Description
- The National Park Service, Grand Canyon National Park has a requirement for regular deliveries of liquid natural gas (LNG) to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The LNG is used to fuel the Park's fleet of shuttle busses. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity contract for deliveries during a base period of twelve (12) months and will include four (4) option periods of 12 months each. The contract will require delivery on an "as-needed" basis, as ordered by an authorized Government representative. Projected deliveries are as follows: Approximately one, 10,000 gallon delivery every 14 - 17 days during December - February; Approximately one, 10,000 gallon delivery every 6-9 days during March - Mid May, and October - November; Approximately one, 10,000 gallon delivery every 4-7 days mid May - September. These quantities are subject to variation. Various evaluation factors will be used to include overall prices. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the base requirement. The Government may determine that an offer is unacceptable if the option prices are significantly unbalanced. Evaluation of options shall not obligate the Government to exercise the options. Solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside, NAICS 454319, size standard $6.5 million. Solicitation R8214090411 anticipated to be released on or about 21 November 2008. Solicitation closing date will be 22 December 2008. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to visit the FEDBIZOPPS website periodically, download solicitation information, and to check for amendments. Hard copies of solicitation documents will not be provided. Address any questions to which answers are not found in the solicitation documents via e-mail to elizabeth_baierl@nps.gov Please ensure the solicitation number R8214090411 is cited for reference. The Government will conduct a site visit on 4 December 2008 at 10:00 AM. The duration will be approximately 2 hours. Interested parties shall meet at the Park Service Headquarters building at 10 AM on 4 December 2008. Anyone planning to attend must notify elizabeth_baierl@nps.gov of the names of the attendees, not to exceed two employees per company. Notification must be done within 72 hours of site tour to ensure access. Individual tours will not be conducted or permitted. Security information and directions will be provided at the time of notification of attendance.
