- This contract is for HVAC Repairs and Improvements Projects in Support of Veterans Administration at Salem Medical Campus, Salem, Virginia. Provide design and construction services for the replacement of the principal air handling units (AHU's) that serve the 1 st and 2 nd floors of Buildings 11, 12, & 74. Work shall include an upgrade to the energy recovery systems associated with the AHU's and interfacing with the existing energy management system (Seimens). Provide design and construction services for the replacement of the existing split system air conditioning units serving the basement areas of Buildings 11, 12, & 74. Provide design and construction services for the replacement of the east and west chilled water underground piping loops from the chiller plant to the entrance of each building. The receipt date for bids is 5 DECEMBER 2008 by 2:00pm. THIS IS A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. NAICS CODE 238220 applies to this procurement. Submission requirements (plans/specs) will be available on/about 24 OCTOBER 2008 via Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps, https://www.fbo.gov). Search on W91236% for solicitations issued by Norfolk District. No hard copies will be available. Prospective contractors must be registered Vendors with https://www.fbo.gov in order to download plans and specifications. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to obtain access to FedBizOpps. CCR Registration must also be active and current to be eligible for contract award. Information on registration and annual confirmation requirements may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov.
