- This solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set Aside, five-year IDIQ for the Internal Drink Tube Coupling, NSN: 4240-01-462-0045, P/N: 5-1-3024. The anticipated maximum five-year quantity is 3,426,288 for a combination of CLIN 0001 package of 5 and CLIN 0002 bulk packaged. FOB is destination. A First Article Test (FAT) is required 100 days after contract award. The government may consider waiving FAT for those contractors that have previously produced this item. If FAT is required, deliveries will commence 140 days after FAT have been approved. The Internal Drink Tube Assy is manufactured from aluminum alloy 6061-T651 or 2024-T4 per ASTM B211 or aluminum alloy die casting alloy 380, A380 or A413 per EA-C-1563, or aluminum alloy 6061-T6510 or 6061-T6511 per ASTM B 221. Coupling is.25 inches in diameter x.56 inches long, Bore is a.096 thru hex, outside diameter includes radius and #10-24UNC-2A thread. The threads are coated with vibra-tite, formula 3, source is N-D Industries, Cage: 04866. Estimated issue date is December 1, 2008. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(2)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/AAIS/Solinfo/index.htm. CAUTION: The solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any said amendments, which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments or respond to them prior to the date and time set for the bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a technical data package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: ROCK-TACOM-TDP@CONUS.ARMY.MIL. Any said requests should contain the following information: Cage Code (if available), company name, point of contact (optional), street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet.
