- Description
- The BEP is seeking responsible sources that are capable of supplying the Washington, DC facility of the Bureau of Engraving (BEP) with the leasing and laundering of uniforms. This is not a Solicitation Announcement or Request for Proposal. The contractor will need to: Provide approximately 650 employees with 5-14 uniforms each within 2 weeks of receiving the list of sizes, types and colors from BEP Furnish all facilities, labor, material and transportation for weekly laundry service. Provide new uniforms within 2 weeks of notification. Maintain the uniforms in good working order by ensuring that they are free of any defects including holes, tears, fabric defects, uneven dyeing, spots, loose or missed stitches or anything else that affects the usefulness, serviceability, or appearance. Maintain an accurate log of uniforms and an accurate accounting system. The BEP anticipates awarding a Performance Based Service, Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Contract for the time period with uniform delivery commencing January 12, 2009 through September 30, 2009. The NAICS code for this service is 812332. Companies who have the capabilities to perform this service in this time frame should submit a Capabilities Statement with pricing for the enclosed uniform pricing sheet to Donald Baron, Contract Specialist, BEP, 14th and C Sts. SW, Wash. DC 20228 or donald.baron@bep.treas.gov no later than November 24, 2008. The offeror shall provide a weekly rental price based on the estimated number of employees and sets shown within the description of each clothing item listed below. However, the actual number of employees and the actual number of uniforms presented to the contractor for cleaning and/or rental may vary within the minimum and maximum amounts shown with each item. Prices should be based on 37 weeks of service.
