Description
FCI Oxford, Wisconsin is conducting a Sources Sought Synopsis. This is not a solicitation announcement. This request for information does not commit the Government to pay any cost incurred in preparation of any submission to this Sources Sought Notice. The purpose of this request is for information to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be publicized in FedBizOpps. All interested offerors will be required to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. 1 - Description of Work: A. The contractor will furnish all materials and perform all labor necessary to repair or replace the chair lift located in the institutional gymnasium and the education stairwell (Current chair lift system is a Garaventa Single Chair lift with 2" rails). The education stairwell chair lift consists of a system with a run of approximately 34' negotiating 22 steps and one landing. Total rise height is approximately 13'. The gymnasium chair lift consists of a system with a run of approximately 39' negotiating 20 steps and one landing. Total rise height of approximately 12'. B. The contractor will be responsible for the demolition and removal and/or reconstruction in part or total of the existing chair lift systems and will dispose of unwanted material per Federal, State, and Local environmental rules and regulations. C. The chair lift system will have a safety rating of 450 1bs to 1000 lbs. The contractor will furnish FCI Oxford with a complete detailed installation procedure to include manpower and completion timetables for approval before work on the project can begin. The contractor will provide a two year unconditional written guarantee covering both materials and labor. D. The contractor will furnish all materials and labor ensuring all work performed, process of, and installation of material complies with all applicable Federal, State, and Local environmental rules, regulations, and codes with special attention given to the ADA-ABA Accessibility Guidelines and the National Elevator Code. When conflicts arise between regulations, the most stringent will be enforced.
