Description
NAICS Code: 334516 Combined Solicitation/SynopsisTotal Internal Reflection Microscopy Imaging SystemThis is a combined synopsis/request for quote (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The identifying RFQ number is RFQ-OH-09-00021. The RFQ and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-27. This requirement is full and open competition. A firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated to result from the award of this RFQ. The NAICS code is 334512. SpecificationsThis request is for the purchase of a TIRF Imaging System used for studying the effect of pollutants on living cells. Because this system will be interfaced with an existing confocal imaging system, the TIRF imaging system hardware must be compatible with NIS-Elements analysis software and associated drivers. To permit optimal live cell work, the TIRF imaging system must include a microscope that can provide laser-corrected constant focus adjustments. To meet required performance quality standards, system must be equipped with a microscope capable of 0.25 micron steps, or better, in the z-axis. To prevent additional expenditures, the imaging system must be compatible with existing Nikon objectives such as the Plan Fluor 110x /0.5-1.3 oil lens. ScheduleQuotes are due to me, Courtney Whiting by 3:00 pm ET, by December 3, 2009 via email at whiting.courtney@epa.gov. The last day for technical questions is November 26, 2009 in writing via email at whiting.courtney@epa.gov, no questions by phone will be accepted. The following FAR Commercial Clauses are applicable: 52.212-1;52.212-3;52.212-4; and 52.212-5. These clauses can be located at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/reghtml/regs/far2afmcfars/fardfars/far/52_000.htm#P1028_137643
