- FISC's intent is to process this procurement on a sole source basis to The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)/ National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), Arlington, Virginia. FISC's intent is to issue a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR 13.5 (Test Program for Certain Commercial Items) procedures. The Period of Performance is from 01 December 2008 through 4 December 2008. The Fleet Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure Rental Services for an island booth space at the annual Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC) located at the Orange Count Convention Center (OCCC), Orlando, Florida. The booth space, to support the annual I/ITSEC event, is only available in the OCCC exhibit hall because NDIA/NTSA has a contract only with this convention center through 2015. There is no other known source that can ! provide these rental services for the OCCC. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed-priced contract to satisfy the requirement. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested offerors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a capability statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received by 21 November 2008 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The solicitation number is N00189-09-T-Z017 and the applicable NAICS code is 561920.
