Description: This publication serves as notice of intent to procure supplies for the U. S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), located at MacDill AFB, FL on a sole source basis with Dayton-Granger, Inc. The government intends to acquire supplies under the authority of FAR Part 13, 106.1. The government intends to issue a fixed price purchase order to Dayton-Granger, Inc., Fort Lauderdale, FL, for the following items: Transtrike Strip (34”) - P/N ABDLB10-0340, 2 each; Transtrike Strip (39”) - P/N ABDLB10-0390, 2 each; Transtrike Strip (53”) - P/N ABDLB10-0530 top strip on nose, 1 each; Transtrike Strip (54”) - P/N ABDLB10-0540, 2 each; Transtrike Strip (37”) - P/N ABDLB10-0370 bottom strip, 1 each; Transtrike Strip (182”) - P/N ABDLB10-1820, 7 each; Transtrike Strip (60”) - P/N ABDLB10-0600, 2 each; Discharger Tio – P/N DG 16920, 22 each; Discharger Tio – P/N DG16930, 11 each; Mounting Base – P/N DG15401, 22 each; Mounting Base – P/N DG15347, 11 each; Epoxy Kit, 4 each. This is a small purchase acquisition over $10,000 but less than $25,000. The delivery date for these items is no later than March 1, 2009. Dayton-Granger, Inc. is the only manufacturer of the above items (discharge strips) needed for AOC’s two WP-3D aircraft. The WP-3D’s are a variant of the P-3 Orion which is a maritime patrol aircraft used by the military. The WP-3D’s are used by AOC to fly research and reconnaissance into severe weather. Therefore, they build up a static charge. The discharge strips are necessary to dissipate the electrical energy that otherwise would damage the aircraft and equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive responses. However, all responses received within ten days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete the acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. DOC, CRAD requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). No award can be made to a company not registered in CCR.
