Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEContractor shall provide Supervisory Training at the VHA and VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System in the local area. Contractor must be a U.S. based corporation, nationally certified by the HPDM (High Program Development Model) Program Office, capable of providing Effective Supervision training on a regularly scheduled basis. Contractor shall conduct a four-day supervisor course, Effective Supervision, on March 24-27, 2009 to be held at Fleming Center, Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The course shall include 14 required topics related to supervisor training: Your Role as a Supervisor, Day to Day Communications, Day to Day Operations, Labor Management Relations, Employee Relations, Employee Performance Management, Diversity and EEO, Workload, Staff and Team Management, Position Classification and Position Management, Staffing Practices, Employee Development, Strategic Alignment, Accreditation and Regulatory Standards, Organizational Performance Improvement/Quality Management. The course objectives are to outline important role of leaders, provide tools for managers to use, and examine ways to deal with peers and subordinates. Contractor shall provide one book for each subject matter per attendee and shall provide pamphlets/workbooks and tapes to be utilized as interactive devices during the presentation. The contractor is responsible for all Contractor personnel, Subcontractors, agents and anyone acting on behalf of the Contractor. Services provided under the contract are not to be performed outside of the United States. Under FAR Part 6.302, Transition Matters, Inc. is the only known source to satisfy this current need. The NAICS code associated with this requirement is 611430 with a size standard of $6.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competition. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any company that feels they can meet the requirements may give written notification to the contracting officer 10 days from the date of the publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Department of Veterans Affairs will proceed with a sole source award for this requirement to Transition Matters, Inc., Burke, Virginia.
