Description
Description: This is a Sources Sought Notice for commercial services performed in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice for sources sought. Request for company background and capabilities brief are being sought and requested for this notice. A solicitation is NOT applicable and will NOT be issued. The applicable NAICS Code is 541720 with a size standard of $7M. Brief Background: Currently Fort Riley develops an economic impact summary based on data gathered solely for the purpose of showing the direct impact that Fort Riley has on the Kansas economy. Fort Riley is considering developing the indirect impact that Fort Riley has on the state of Kansas. Fort Riley is requesting responses from interested contractors who would be able to take the data from the direct economic impact and calculate the indirect economic impact that Fort Riley has on Kansas. This company would need to be able to work with Fort Riley to complete the indirect economic impact value. The areas that are included in the indirect impact will need to be identified, categorized, and assessed. The indirect impact will include but is not limited to jobs that are created because of the military personnel and their families living here and using the facilities in the local communities, housing created because of the military families, credit card purchases, and any other income generated because of the presence of military personnel and their families. The Contractor shall need to have knowledge of the military lifestyle. It should also have the ability to make assumptions using knowledge and experience with communities that surround a military installation. Interested Contractors shall submit brief company capabilities, to ensure understanding of the Fort Riley Economic Impact Summary Analysis, experience in developing an indirect summary, knowledge and experience with communities surrounding military installations and knowledge of the military lifestyles. Company capabilities brief shall be submitted on any format (MS Word or Power Point) by electronic means to wilfredo.delatorre@us.army.mil and patricia.roediger@us.army.mil by close of business on December 29, 2008. Questions and comments must be sent by electronic means to the email addresses mentioned above.
