Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. TACOM-ROCK ISLAND IS SEEKING TO IDENTIFY POTENTIAL SOURCES WHO HAVE THE CAPABILITY AND EXPERIENCE TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SUPPLY ITEM: Valve, Safety Relief P/N: 5-45-5165 NSN: 4820-01-291-2365 shall be no taller than 3.35, no wider than 1.20, and no longer than 2.00. The outlet port shall be 0.50 NPT female threads. The inlet port shall be also 0.50 NPT female threads and located on the bottom of the Valve, Safety Relief. The word OUT shall be steel stamped on the outlet side of the valve directly underneath the port and the word IN shall be steel stamped on the inlet directly underneath the port. A name plate is to be placed to contain the part number and unit serial number. The Valve, Safety Relief must have a manual override ring that must be sustained by lifting the ring approximately 0.10 and holding while the lifting force shall not exceed 40-LB. The operational requirements of the valve shall allow free flow of 1 GPM when system pressure reaches 250 +/- 10 psig and reset when system pressure reaches 220 +/- 10 psig. The Construction shall be such that neither, the interior nor the exterior of the valve is adversely affected by alkaline fluids and chemicals. The end item shall be packaged in accordance with P5-45-5165, unless otherwise instructed and approved by the government. The Valve, Safety Relief must be purchased from approved sources of supply. Alternate configurations may be submitted to the government for consideration. Alternate configurations must pass specified government qualification testing. Alternate configurations that successfully complete qualification testing will be eligible to be listed as approved sources of supply on the government drawing.
