Description
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) plans to procure services regarding measurement of LINE and Alu Sequences in Genomic DNA from Bladder and Kidney Cancer Cases in the Prostate Lung Colorectal and Ovarian (PLCO) cohort. This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR Part 13.106-(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code is 541711 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The contractor shall analyze global methylation levels in LINE-I and Alu sequences from approximately 3,763 genomic DNA samples (that were extracted from whole blood and buffy coat). The Contractor shall perform the following requirements: 1.Receive and store the samples at -20°C. Samples will be sent in two batches, approximately, samples will be sent in two batches. 2.Bisulfite conversion shall be performed on 500ng genomic DNA from all 3,763 samples using a Zymogen Research EZ® kit. 3.If samples fail to sequence, re-amplification at no additional charge to the government shall be completed at least two times if sufficient bisulfite treated DNA or genomic DNA is available. Period of Performance shall be for one year from date of award. Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. In order to receive an award, contractors must be registered and have valid certification in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA).
