Description
RECOVERY Project # 25749: The project is to repair the deteriorated concrete bridge deck, select random spalls, and the expansion joints at both ends of the Floral Drive Bridge. The abundance of deterioration and delaminated concrete is located throughout the upper portion of the concrete decking and the East Abutment. The repairs shall be completed in strict accordance with this Scope of Work, and the attached GENERAL CONCRETE REMOVAL AND REPAIR PROCEDURES, CONCRETE REPAIR SCHEDULE, details, original design drawings (dated 1972), and contract specifications. The bridge located at Adelphi Research Laboratory in Prince Georges county, which was built in 1975, carries two lanes of Floral Drive east/west over the Paint Branch and has an overall length of 450 feet with a curb-to-curb width of 25 feet. The bridge consists of five continuous spans with a reinforced concrete deck supported by steel beams. The superstructure is supported on concrete cantilever abutments and solid shaft hammerhead piers. The bridge located at Adelphi Research Laboratory/Adlephi Laboratory Center in Prince Georges county, which was built in 1975, carries two lanes of Floral Drive east/west over the Paint Branch and has an overall length of 450 feet with a curb-to-curb width of 25 feet. The bridge consists of five continuous spans with a reinforced concrete deck supported by steel beams. The superstructure is supported on concrete cantilever abutments and solid shaft hammerhead piers. The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, transportation to perform all work identified above in accordance with (IAW) and in compliance with all federal, state, local, and industry codes, regulations and laws in satisfying work requirements identified above at the ALC. NAICS #: The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. FUNDING: This project is funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).PROJECT MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $250K and $500K. BONDING REQUIREMENTS: Bid Bond will be required in submitting bid to the Government in response to the IFB for this acquisition. SET ASIDE: This requirement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. SOLICITATION TYPE: Invitation for Bid (IFB.)CONTRACT TYPE: Firm Fixed-Price. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Anticipated performance period is 270 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Posting of this award notice is in compliance with FAR 5.702 and reporting requirements for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
