- NAICS Code: 334516 The U.S. EPA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, with Waters Corporation to provide Annual Maintenance Service for Waters' Premier GC/MS with Split Detector and One (1) year of MassLynx Software, both with a Period ofPerformance of 1/20/2010 to 1/19/2011, for the Office of Research and Development (ORD), National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division located in RTP, North Carolina. Delivery Requirement: The vendor shall be capable of services within 12 months of ordering. EPA has identified Waters Corporation as the only provider of commercial services and parts able to meet the requirements of this procurement. Waters Corporation is the only known source able to satisfy the Governments requirement because, as the manufacturer of the instrument, they are the only source qualified to perform preventative maintenance at to repair this instrument. This procurement will be accomplished under FAR Part 12 Commercial Procedures. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Sources wishing to be considered MUST submit documentation to the office identified above. Documentation must be submitted within 15 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice.
