- RECOVERY: PRE-SOLICIATION NOTICE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE ROADS AT THE CYPRESS HILLS NATIONAL CEMETERY LOCATED IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK. This project is funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA), is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-10-RA-0015 for the following: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to replace all roads at the Cypress Hills National Cemetery and Union Plot, in Brooklyn NY. COST MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 150 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 237310 SIZE STANDARD: $33.5M METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-PICE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT UNDER SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 14 to a responsive, responsible service disabled veteran owned small business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) details and specifications may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation documents will be available as stated above, on or about 1-20-2010. SITE VISIT: A site visit (pre-bid meeting) is scheduled for 2-4-2010, at the Cypress Hills National Cemetery, 625 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn NY 11208. Meet at the maintenance building at 12:00 PM (Noon), local time. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps. Offerors are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time for receipt of offers. Paper copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. SUBMITTING BIDS: Based on the above release date, bids will be due in our office on 2-23-2010, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. When submitting bids or offers to our address it is highly recommended that an over night service is utilized. There are unusually long delays associated with the delivery of US Postal Service first class and/or priority mail to government offices in Washington DC. BIDDER'S MAILING LIST: Interested parties should register for the Bidder's Mailing List at http://www.fedbizopps.gov "Interested Vendor List". Individual copies of the Bidder's Mailing List will NOT be prepared, maintained, or distributed by the Contracting Officer.
