Description
Background The U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO; www.gpo.gov) has a requirement for the creation of a museum-quality historical exhibit commemorating 150 years of GPO history. During its history, GPO has produced many of America's great documents, implemented new printing technologies in response to the changing needs of the Federal Government, and disseminated-or otherwise made available online-millions of Government publications to the public via its publications sales and Federal depository library programs. GPO seeks to present a display of artifacts, photographs, and publications that will spotlight its ongoing mission of Keeping America Informed. Purpose: This is a Sources Sought Notice. This is not a Request for Proposals; no solicitation document exists. Responses to this sources sought notice will not serve as proposals, bids, or offers, which could be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Any information provided to the Government is strictly voluntary and will be provided at no cost to the Government. Responses are due no later than 3:00 p.m. (EST) on February 4, 2010. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to obtain market research information from qualified companies with the capabilities of providing research and design for a museum-quality public exhibit featuring artifacts and information from GPO's history. The exhibit will be put on display in space located at the GPO central office complex in Washington, D.C., and a smaller traveling exhibit will be prepared for display in GPO's regional offices and Federal depository libraries nationwide. Requested Information: Interested companies are requested to submit a capability statement (10 pages or less, do not include marketing literature) that addresses the company's ability to perform the services described above. The statement should include pricing information, three client references of similar projects, company points of contact, and GSA Schedule number if applicable. All responses should be sent via e-mail to the Contracting Officer, Larry Ferezan at lferezan@gpo.gov or by mail to the U.S. Government Printing Office, 732 North Capitol Street, NW, Room A332, Washington, DC 20401 Mail Stop: AS/LF. PHONE CALLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
