- Recovery Project Project Descripton: Project includes a complete installation of a government furnished 100KW diesel generator set with compatible 200 AMP transfer switch. Installation will include the analysis of existing systems loads and design of emergency electrical system to provide detection of power outages and electrical service for the duration of said outages. Provide site work and reinforced concrete pad as well as any incidentals necessary for the installation. Install a contractor purchased 2000 gallon diesel tank and security fencing. Provide a power-sensing relay to detect and report the power failure, an electical solenoid and auto-starter for the compressor and modifcations to the electrical control panels to incorporate a time delay to allow stepping of the loads upon restart. Project Location: US Forestry Sciences Lab, 180 Canfield Street, Morgantown, WV 26505 Estimated Price Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000. Project is expected to begin in March 2010 but is dependent on the generator delivery schedule. This project is advertised for full and open competition pursuant to FAR 19.1007. All solicitation materials will be uploaded to this site on or around January 22, 2010. This will include all information needed in order to submit an offer including, specifications, wage determination, contract clauses and provisions, etc. There is a site visit scheduled for February 3, 2010 at 9 AM ET at the project location. This is necessary because there are no electrical drawings available for contractors.
