Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE USEPA CONTRACTOR UNDER CONTRACT EP-W-07-104. REQUESTS AND/OR INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ADDRESSED. IT IS THE INTENT OF THE USEPA TO APPROVE A WORK ASSIGNMENT UNDER THIS EXISTING CONTRACT. The purpose of this announcement is to obligate a total of $37,458 for the Point of Pines Old Logging Camp (SANC032) LUST Site Work Assignment Amendment. This work will require the contractor to conduct site assessments and site characterizations, and perform corrective action for potential leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites in EPA Region 9. The contractor will remove all USTs and associated equipment from the ground and collect soil samples and groundwater samples, if encountered. Between 20 to 30 cubic yards of soil may have to be removed from the site. A sampling and analysis plan will be developed prior to site mobilization. If additional soil is required to be removed from the site, the contractor will obtain authorization from the EPA WAM. The contractor will transport all investigation-derived waste (IDW) materials and associated items from off the site to an approved offsite facility. If appropriate, and upon the EPA WAM's determination, the contractor will notify the public of the planned activities, via a fact sheet and/or a local newspaper announcement. The contractor will provide recommendations to the EPA WAM for responding to the public's comments, if necessary. The contractor will prepare a site closure report and next steps.
