Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE USEPA CONTRACTOR UNDER CONTRACT EP-W-07-104. REQUESTS AND/OR INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ADDRESSED. IT IS THE INTENT OF THE USEPA TO APPROVE A WORK ASSIGNMENT UNDER THIS EXISTING CONTRACT. The purpose of this announcement is to obligate a total of $359,976 for the Telles Ranch (CRIT002) LUST Site Work Assignment Amendment. This work will require the contractor to conduct site assessments and site characterizations, and perform corrective action for potential leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites in EPA Region 9. The contractor will conduct groundwater monitoring and sampling activities (four rounds of sampling per year), unless modified by the EPA WAM. The contractor assumes that 15 existing wells will be sampled on a quarterly basis (7 quarters). The contractor will implement a full-scale product recovery and treatment system, which includes a start-up phased approach to evaluate the surfactant-enhanced product recovery/treatment at the site. In addition, refurbishment of the existing extraction wells or construction of up to 12 new wells may also be required to fully integrate the system. The contractor will transport all investigated-derived waste (IDW) materials and associated items from off the site to an approved offsite facility. The contractor will submit quarterly remediation progress reports on the effectiveness of the remediation system. If appropriate, and up the EPA WAM's determination, the contractor will notify the public of the treatment system activities, via a fact sheet and local newspaper announcement. The contractor will provide recommendations to the EPA WAM for responding to the public's comments, if necessary. The contractor will oversee the implementation of the treatment system activities. The contractor will conduct remedial action operation and maintenance activities during the life of the corrective action. The contractor will prepare a site closure report and next steps
