- Description
- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE USEPA CONTRACTOR UNDER CONTRACT EP-W-07-104. REQUESTS AND/OR INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ADDRESSED. IT IS THE INTENT OF THE USEPA TO APPROVE A WORK ASSIGNMENT UNDER THIS EXISTING CONTRACT. The purpose of this announcement is to obligate a total of $222,583 for the Chief Conoco (NAV211) LUST Site Work Assignment Amendment. This work will require the contractor to conduct site assessments and site characterizations, and perform corrective action for potential leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites in EPA Region 9. The contractor will conduct groundwater monitoring and sampling activities (four rounds of sampling per year), unless modified by the EPA WAM. For the purpose of estimating costs for groundwater sampling, the contractor assumes that approximately 24 existing wells will be sampled on a quarterly basis (7 quarters). Following each groundwater sampling event, the contractor will develop and submit to EPA and the Tribe a Technical Memorandum (Tech Memo). The Tech Memo will detail the groundwater sampling activities and present findings and recommendations. The contractor will excavate approximately 600 cubic yards of soil from the site in order to expedite cleanup. If field conditions require additional groundwater monitoring wells, the contractor will make a recommendation to the EPA WAM. The EPA WAM will determine if additional wells are needed. The contractor will transport all investigated-derived waste (IDW) materials and associated items from off the site to an approved offsite facility.
