Description
THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE USEPA CONTRACTOR UNDER CONTRACT EP-W-07-104. REQUESTS AND/OR INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ADDRESSED. IT IS THE INTENT OF THE USEPA TO APPROVE A WORK ASSIGNMENT UNDER THIS EXISTING CONTRACT. The purpose of this announcement is to obligate a total of $204,919 for the Newcomb Trading Post (NAV207) LUST Site Work Assignment Amendment. This work will require the contractor to conduct site assessments and site characterizations, and perform corrective action for potential leaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites in EPA Region 9. The contractor will conduct groundwater monitoring and sampling activities (four rounds of sampling per year), unless modified by the EPA WAM. The EPA has authorized the installation of up to 10 soil borings in an effort to define the extent of soil contamination at the site. Following the characterization activities, the contractor will develop and submit to EPA and the Tribe a Site Characterization Report. The report will detail the characterization activities and present findings and recommendations. Following each groundwater sampling event, the contractor will develop and submit to EPA and the Tribe a Technical Memorandum (Tech Memo). The Tech Memo will detail the groundwater sampling activities and present findings and recommendations. The contractor will install up to 6 groundwater monitoring wells to fully delineate the groundwater impacts at the site. If field conditions require additional wells, the contractor will make a recommendation to the EPA WAM. The EPA WAM will determine if additional wells are needed. The contractor will develop a Site Characterization and Report as well as a Corrective Action Plan. The contractor will conduct remedial action operation and maintenance activities during the life of the corrective action and submit a site closure report.
