Description
The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and supervision to complete construction work for projects PQWY 98-1034A, Add A/C and Upgrade Electrical Power Dorm 564; PQWY 98-1034B, Renovate Dorm 564; PQWY 98-1035A, Add A/C and Upgrade Electrical Power Dorm 565; PQWY 98-1035B, Renovate Dorm 565; PQWY 08-1012 Renovate Dorm 567 at McChord AFB Washington. Following is a brief summary of the project and is provided solely for the purpose of revealing the general nature of the work involved. Project PQWY 98-1034A, Add A/C & Upgrade Electrical Power Dorm 564: Work will consist of 50% of all costs and work associated with providing a new HVAC units in each of the dormitory rooms, including the HVAC units, electrical service to the HVAC units, wall revisions, drains and adjacent construction modifications. Project PQWY 98-1034B, Renovate Dorm 564: Work will includes all work indicated as specified for the project to include renovating the existing dorm rooms, exterior painting, bathroom exhaust system repairs, bathroom plumbing replacement, fire sprinkler system installation, replacement of the existing fire alarm system and 50% of the costs described for PQWY 98-1034A. Project PQWY 98-1035A, Add A/C & Upgrade Electrical Power Dorm 565: Work will consist of 50% of all costs and work associated with providing a new HVAC units in each of the dormitory rooms, including the HVAC units, electrical service to the HVAC units, wall revisions, drains and adjacent construction modifications. Project PQWY 98-1035B, Renovate Dorm 565: Work will includes all work indicated as specified for the project to include renovating the existing dorm rooms, exterior painting, bathroom exhaust system repairs, bathroom plumbing replacement, fire sprinkler system installation, replacement of the existing fire alarm system and 50% of the costs described for PQWY 98-1035A. Project PQWY 08-1012, Renovate Dorm 567: Work will includes all work indicated as specified for the project to include renovating the existing dorm rooms, exterior painting, bathroom exhaust system repairs, bathroom plumbing replacement, fire sprinkler system installation and replacement of the existing fire alarm system. This is a firm-fixed price contract. The contract performance period is currently estimated to be approximately 480 continuous calendar days. Phasing of the projects/facilities will be describe in the solicitation when issued. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236118. Size Standard is $33.5M. Solicitation for this requirement will be accomplished via Request for Proposal. The solicitation number will be FA4479-10-R-0005. This solicitation is set-aside for Small Business contractors with a bone fide place of business in Washington state. Award will be made based upon Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15 and the terms in the solicitation. The entire solicitation, including the specifications and drawings, will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any other pertinent information for downloading their own copy of the solicitation package and drawings. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, interested parties must review the website frequently for updates and amendments to any and all documents; and verifying the number of amendments issued prior to the due date for proposals. The closing date and time for submission of offers will be contained in the solicitation package. No response to this notice is necessary and no Source List will be maintained by this office. Interested firms should register on the Interested Vendors List on this web site. All potential offerors must obtain a DUNS number and be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) in order to transact business with the Department of Defense (DOD). Lack of registration in the CCR database and failure to obtain a DUNS number will make an offeror ineligible for award.
