- Financial Services Industry Day Information The Department of the Treasury is hosting a Financial Services Industry Day in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Registration Information: Registrations are being accepted on a first come, first served basis from the first 85 companies that submit a complete registration request to FSACQ@do.treas.gov. The following information is required when submitting a complete registration request: 1. company name; 2. the company's business size (e.g. small business); 3. phone number; 4. email address where you wish to receive registration confirmation; 5. names of participants - up to two (2) attendees per company is allowed; 6. indicate if interested in making a presentation (see below); and, 7. indicate if interested in hosting a booth during the networking session (see below). Please indicate "Financial Services - Industry Day Registration" in the subject line when submitting a complete registration request to FSACQ@do.treas.gov. If you are one of the first 85 companies to submit a complete registration request, you will be notified as soon as possible. Again, please note that participation is limited to two (2) individuals per company. Substitutions for the names submitted during the registration process can be made up to five (5) business day's prior to the event. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 5:00 pm EST, or until all participant slots are filled. Treasury reserves the right to extend the deadline if the total number of participants does not equal 170 individuals. Event Location: The event will be held at the JW Marriott, located at 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20004. Event Agenda: A tentative agenda will be posted on FedBizOps (www.fbo.gov). The event will feature the following sessions: (1) program overview and key contract requirements; (2) time for questions and answers; (3) oral presentations to encourage small business partnering arrangements; and, (4) an afternoon networking session. Oral Presentation Information: Companies are invited to make a presentation on its capabilities, with a special focus on small business partnering interest, as related to the requirements stated in the Sources Sought Notice, TOFS-10-S-0003. Oral presentation time slots are limited to the first 12 companies that submit a written request stating interest in making a presentation. To ensure a mix that small and large business presentations are made, Treasury reserves the right to confirm the 12 slots from a larger selection than just the first 12 actual responses. If you are one of the 12 companies selected to make an oral presentation, you will be notified by January 29, 2010; and, by February 5, 2010, will be required to submit the presenter's name, phone number, and e-mail address, along with a PowerPoint of the presentation. The presenter must be one of the two individuals representing your company at the event. Instructions for submitting the PowerPoint will be included in the notification confirming the presentation time slot, along with some general guidelines to ensure presentations are geared toward meeting the intended objective. Networking Booth Information: Companies are invited to reserve a table during the networking session. The networking session is intended to encourage small business partnering arrangements. The booth must be hosted by at least one of the two individuals representing your company at the event. Booths may be limited to the first 20 companies that submit a written request stating interest in hosting a booth. At Treasury's discretion, to ensure a mix of small and large business participation, Treasury reserves the right to confirm the 20 slots from a larger selection than just the first 20 actual responses. Question and Answer Session: We are requesting questions in advance. By February 5, 2010, please submit your question(s) for the Industry Day question and answer session. If you wish to have a question addressed at Industry Day, please submit it to FAQFS@do.treas.gov and in the subject line state "Industry Day Question Submission." Please include the question in the body of your reply. Depending on the time allowed and the number of questions submitted, we may not have the opportunity to answer all questions submitted in advance and/or questions posed at Industry Day. All questions, including those answered on the day of the event, whether submitted in advance or at the event, will be recorded and answers will be posted on FedBizOps as soon as possible following the event. PLEASE BE REMINDED that companies: 1. have a maximum of two slots at the event [even if a company is making a presentation and/or hosting a booth]; 2. must register via FAQFS@do.treas.gov in advance for attendance, a presentation time slot, and/or a booth; 3. must receive confirmation of acceptance of their registration request in order to attend the Financial Services Industry Day; 4. making a presentation must receive confirmation of acceptance of their presentation request and must submit their PowerPoint presentation by the stated deadline, following the stated guidelines; 5. hosting a booth must receive confirmation of acceptance of their booth request; 6. are requested to submit questions in advance to FAQFS@do.treas.gov; and, 7. may bring marketing materials for distribution. Due to space limitations, unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate more than 85 companies, with two participates each. Individuals whose registrations are not confirmed are not authorized to attend the event. If you have any questions regarding the event, please contact us via the FAQFS@do.treas.gov email address.
