Description
I. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, but market research to determine potential sources for software upgrade maintenance, hardware maintenance, and technical support for three NetApp fliers for the Air Force Targeting Center (AFTC) formerly the Combat Targeting Intelligence Group (CTIG) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. The AFTC currently utilizes three NetApp filers that are used for backing up data for their computer networks. These three filers consist of two models, each with different hardware and software configurations. The specifics of each NetApp filer are provided below: • Filer #1: Model F940 (Serial Number1031442) - Contains six data storage shelves capable of storing eithg terabytes of data. This model utilizes the following software licenses: Data Ontap, NFS, ISCSI, and SnapRestore. • Filer # 2: Model F940 (Serial Number 1035558) - Contains four data storage shelves capable of storing four terabytes of data. This model utilizes the following software licenses: Data Ontap, NFS, ISCSI, and Snap Restore. • Filer # 3: Model FAS3050 (Serial Number 3083266) - Contains ten data storage shelves capable of storing forty-two terabytes of data. This model utilizes the following software licenses: Data Ontap, NFS, ISCSI, CIFS, and SnapRestore. These filers require continued NetApp software upgrade maintenance, hardware maintenance, and technical support. This maintenance and technical support provides the following services for the two filers listed above: (1) Hardware extended warranty, (2) All levels phone support, (3) Next business day replacement parts and disk delivery, (4) NetApp, Data Ontap software subscription, (5) NFS license software subscription, (6) ISCSI license software subscription, (7) SnapRestore license software subscription, and (8) CIFS license software subscription. The AFTC continues to utilize these filers, and associated software licenses, and requires continued software upgrade maintenance, mardware maintenance, and technical support to ensure the continued operation of these filers. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541511 with a size standard of $25,000,000 This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. This synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Interested sources should respond to this synopsis by submitting (1) Name, Address, and phone number of the firm (including CAGE code); (2) Size status; (3) provide with their response a statement that they are authorized to obtain Brand Name Licenses for the NetApp software and hardware listed above; and (4) provide literature (qualification package) that describes their experience regarding the software technical capabilities; their understanding of the NetApp software and hardware including support and training. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is strictly voluntary. Responses will not be returned. No entitlements to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges to the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses, or the Government's use of such information. The information obtained from industries responses to this notice may be used in the development of an acquisition strategy and future RFQ. Please note that FEDBIZOPPS will be the primary source of information for this acquisition. Interested parties should check FEDBIZOPPS for updates frequently. Potential Offerors are cautioned that this synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or substituting a response to this notice.
