- This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Institute For Diversity in Health Management, a not -for- profit organization, to recruit underrepresented student interns for VHA Healthcare Retention and Recruitment Office (HRRO). The Contracting Officers believes that Institute For Diversity in Health Management is the only vendor with the specialized expertise required to provide the level of services required. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1. Therefore, this sole source award is being made pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other company will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. All proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated date of award is February 5, 2010. This notice is not a request for offers. All responses from responsible sources will be considered. Responses must include sufficient documentation to allow this office to evaluate the possibility of your firm to submit a valid proposal. If a solicitation is issued, no additional synopses will be published. All responses must be submitted in writing within 10 calendar days of publication of this notice.
