- The Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) is issuing this Special Notice to inform Industry of the intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Scot Inc. for the Omega 36 training devices in order to re-create realistic combat training scenarios, at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, CA, that Marines may encounter on the battlefield. Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 01 Feb 10. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
