Description
THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to extend the period of performance under Contract N00019-09-C-0050 for an estimated eight (8) months. The subject contract was issued to The Boeing Company, Integrated Defense Systems, St. Louis, MO. The resultant modification(s) will be Firm-Fixed-Price to procure additional Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Intelligence Reconnaissance Surveillance (ISR) services. This contract supports military detachments located OCONUS. These services are required in order to prevent a break in service of critical ISR requirements in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). The estimated modification award date is April 2010. Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Boeing currently is in theater supporting the above operations with all the associated manpower, equipment, certifications and logistical processing. Under FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source, Boeing is the only source who can fulfill mission critical requirements and prevent serious injuries to the Government as a result of delay(s) to the schedule. Such delays will result in loss of life or significant property damage to U.S. and Coalition forces in OEF area of operations. Subcontracting opportunities should be sought directly from Boeing. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED PARTIES: There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. No telephone responses will be accepted.
