Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) -Iowa City, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Architecture/Engineering (A/E) services entitled, "(Recovery Act) A/E to Replace Fan Coils & Convectors" at the VAMC in Iowa City, IA. NAICS Code 541330, size standard $4.5 million. The project will replace the original two pipe fan coil units throughout the medical center with four pipe fan coils where possible. With the four pipe fan coils in place, the convectors throughout the medical center will be eliminated. This will be a multi-phased project. The A/E shall develop construction drawings and specifications that shall include but not be limited to: demolition, architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing work; reproduction of bid documents; construction period services; site visits; final inspections; and as-built drawings. In performance of this work, the A/E must engage the services of a third-party Certified Industrial Hygienist. The person assigned as the Certified Industrial Hygienist must be clearly identified in Section E of the SF 330. The estimated construction cost range is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Area of consideration: firms must be within a 150 mile radius of the VAMC, 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246. Please submit your qualifications and past performance data on the SF 330 (architecture-engineer qualifications); and for any consultants to be used, on the SF 330 Sections E and F.
