- A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Renovation work requires replace windows to meet (at/FP) by replacing all single pane windows with double pane laminated glass-aluminum windows, install new fire suppression and detection system, install gate partition in phone room and convert HVAC two pipe system into four pipe system. The attic can support additional piping throughout and each room will require dual fan coil units. Additional constructions includes but is not limited to: Interior renovation of guest rooms, Interior partitions, flooring and plumbing retrofit for accessibility, steel and masonry work to seismically reinforce facility and lead based paint and abatement of asbestos. Air Conditioning: 50 Tons NOTE: DOES NOT INLCLUDE LAND ACQUISITION Contract duration is 330 days and estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Actual cost is closer to $5,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before February 3, 2010 by 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification or verification of the company by the Small Business Administration, as either certified HUBZone, certified 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions on your firm's past experience on renovation projects, with emphasis on historical renovation, with greater than 90% construction complete or those renovation projects completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include Lodging facilities, office buildings, etc. Projects of similar dollar value will include: new renovation projects with an original contract amount in excess of $4.0M. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
