Description
The Department of Transportation, Federal Railroad Administration intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Carahsort Technology Corp for a computer based program entitled The Alfresco Enterprise version of Web Content Management (WCM). This requirement is being advertised under Other Than Full and Open Competition by the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302. Carahsoft Technology shall provide the following: The Alfresco Enterprise version of Web Content Management (WCM) which is a built on state-of-the-art open source Components (i.e. Spring, Hibernate, Lucene, JSF) and offers one repository for the whole team. It incorporates important Features such as high availability, scalability, web content compliance, multi-site change capabilities, and more. Users of Alfresco WCM enjoy a rich and productive experience with pre-built templates, email based workflow, in-context review, Multi-channel publishing via XML, and more. The FRA has not found any other single solution that provides all of the functionalities listed above. The period of performance is date of award through December 27, 2010. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Federal Railroad Administrations needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the Federal Railroad Administration, this notice affirmative written response is received within 5 days from the publication of this synopsis; a contract may be issued to Carahsoft Technology without further notice.
