Description
A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors for the following proposed project: Renovate entire facility 470. Reconfigure command post layout and re-install communication system including SIPRnet. Reconfigure second floor. Replace floor finishes including carpet and vinyl composition tile (VCT). Remodel bathrooms and upgrade to meet ADA requirements. Provide new ceiling tile, grid, and ceiling insulation throughout entire building. Replace interior gypsum board. Replace interior doors, trim, wall base, door knobs and lock sets. Replace exterior door on the North end of the building. Replace break room cabinets, interior windows, door case molding and window stools. Paint all interior gypsum board ceilings and walls, interior doors, door and window trim and molding and chair rail of entire building. Repair tile roof. Replace all exterior windows, fascia and soffit and paint exterior. Coordinate exterior work with (SHPO) State Historic Preservation Office through March CEV. Replace HVAC system and controls for entire facility. Upgrade facility to meet AT/FP criteria, fire code, ADA accessibility requirements and installing seismic reinforcement. Asbestos and lead-based paint must be removed as part of this renovation. There are four companion projects associated with this renovation project. Air Conditioning: 75Tons NOTE: DOES NOT INLCLUDE LAND ACQUISITION Contract duration is 330 days and estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. With an actual cost closer to 5,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should notify this office in writing by mail on or before February 3, 2010 by 2:00 pm Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification or verification of the company by the Small Business Administration, as either certified HUBZone, certified 8(a), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business, (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project, (3) Past Experience - Provide descriptions on your firm's past experience on renovation projects, with emphasis on historical renovation, with greater than 90% construction complete or those renovation projects completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Projects considered similar in scope to this project include Lodging facilities, office buildings, etc. Projects of similar dollar value will include: new renovation projects with an original contract amount in excess of $4.0M. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project, the portion and percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build or not, and a description of how the experience relates to the proposed project.
