- Request a 90 time charter with TWO 90 day options, with right to cancel with 5 day notice, for a self-sustaining vessel to provide potable water transportation services to vessels operating within the harbor of Port au Prince (PaP) in support of earthquake relief operations. The contractor will be responsible for all consumables (fuel, oil, etc.) required for the operation of the logistics support vessel. Cargo/Personnel Capacity: The vessel shall be capable of: -CARRYING A MINIMUM OF 20,000 BBLS OF CLEAN POTABLE WATER -REQUIRE SEGREGATED BALLAST TANKS (SBT) -ABILITY TO PUMP WATER ASHORE - ABILITY TO PUMP WATER TO ANOTHER SHIP ALONGSIDE -ABILITY TO LIGHTER CALL AT PORT WITH SUBMARINE PIPELINE WITH CRUCIFORM BITS ON DECK AT MANIFOLD AND HOSE SUPPORTS ON THE RAIL IN WAY OF THE MANIFOLD CONNECTION -ABILITY/EQUIPPED TO PERFORM CARGO OPERATIONS PIERSIDE -ABILITY/EQUIPPED TO PERFORM CARGO OPERATIONS AT ANCHORAGE (ADEQUATE FENDERING) - TANKS TO BE CLEANED AND PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANSI/AWWA (AMERICAN WATER WORKS ASSOCIATION) C652-02 STANDARDS - SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH 500 FEET OF APPORVED POTABLE WATER HOSE - SHALL BE EQUIPPED WITH APPROPRIATE INTERNATION CONNECTIONS Speed: Minimum cruising speed of 8 knots when laden. Laydays: 29 January – 05 February 2010 Material Handling Operations: The contractor shall be responsible for the receipt, loading, and unloading of potable water Area of Operations: The vessel will be expected to operate primarily in the PaP harbor and other locations where potable water can be obtained. Hours of Operation: The vessel shall be available, as directed, on a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week basis. The contractor must maintain the vessel in sail-worthy condition, manned and ready, and be able to depart within one hours notice during the period of the charter. OPTEMPO: 50% transporting water to/from potable water load port and 50% pumping water to vessels in PaP harbor. Certifications: The vessel shall have current certifications by the appropriate agencies in the country in which the vessel is flagged. These certifications cannot expire during the period of hire.. INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING: - COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THE VESSEL/PLATFORM (NAME, FLAG, SPEED, RANGE, SIZE, CAPACITY, ETC.) - OVERALL TIMELINE ESTIMATES WITH ESTIMATED SCHEDULE - DAILY HIRE RATE/LUMPSUM RATES - ALTERNATIVE PROPOSALS - ESTIMATED DELIVERY/REDELIVERY BONUSES (When providing delivery and redelivery bonuses, please clearly state if it is at the beginning and/or at the end of the charter period and/or when it is applicable to barge change outs throughout the charter hire.) - ANY PERTINENT QUESTIONS AND/OR COMMENTS - BUSINESS SIZE
