- This presolicitation is being cancelled due to time constraints to start the new contract. This procurement will be posted using the GSA Schedule, small business. The contractor shall provide sign language and interpreting services to approximately five (5) hearing‑impaired employees of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Services will be provided on a scheduled and unscheduled (ad‑hoc) basis. USAID currently has five (5) hearing‑impaired, hard of hearing and deaf employees who periodically require the services of sign language interpreters. The sign language interpreter shall provide interpreting services to various offices within USAID that interact with these employees (clients). The actual number of clients may vary. Some clients or groups of clients will require interpreter services daily for a specific period of time. Other services will be required on an ad‑hoc basis from time to time. The interpreters must be fully knowledgeable and skilled in American Sign Language (ASL) and Pidgen Sign English (PSE). Be able to work from the spoken English to ASL or PSE and communicate in the manner most easily understood by the clients.
